How low do you think the 10/12 (550hp) GT500 will depreciate? Also how low do you think the Boss 302 (regular not Laguna) will depreciate?
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Consider the Cobras go from about 10k with 78k miles

Depends on how long we’re talking and what inflation/GDP growth looks like.

I would say mid to low 30's for GT500's
BOSS 302 will stay in the low 30's as they come up with miles on them.

Assume we are talking whatever the equivalent of today would be in inflation and time limit is just when will it hit rock bottom in value

I think they will get lower than that. They are already there and it hasn't even been 5 years. Same with the 302. I think it'll go lower to like Mach 1 levels of pricing
sm70- why not Duesenberg?

I bet low they’ll go down bellow $15,000 eventually, ignoring inflation.

A 98 Cobra is not a good example. A better one would be an 03-04 Cobra....
The N/A 4v Cobras are often overlooked in the Mustang community and usually go for.a lower value.

Hmm that would be nice to get so much for so little with the promise of reliability

Yeah I've seen some Shelby GT500s at 36k off the top of my head. Few Boss 302s at 32k if I remember right

Not sure why either they are cheap and make 300hp. Also independent rear too right? Or was that the 99 and up?

I thought that was the idea of every sued mustang ever? cheap, reliable speed.

Yeah but with 550hp for 15k it would be a whole new level of cheap and reliable speed

99-01. Slightly different from the 03-04 setup.
The main reason for being overlooked is potential for power with a stock rotating assembly and block.

It will hit $10,000 in today’s money. Honestly, I think the pre-2013 GT500s will drop in price significantly because of how much faster the cars got afterward, just like how 2010 GTs are so much cheaper than 2011 GTs.
But it won’t go down to “dirt cheap” because there will always be a float of GTs and V6s below it keeping the prestige price of the GT500 up.
When people think of “The last shelby” they will think of the 2013 GT500 and it’s 200 MPH boast.
Same thing happened with the Mach 1 and 2003 Cobra, which were both overshadowed by the 2005 Mustang in most ways. Same with the 1998 Mustang and the 1999 New Edge design.

I agree with that the other cars will act as a buffer but going all the way down to 10k in todays terms does seem incredibly cheap. I know the 13/14 will be more expensive but even then a Shelby is a Shelby. I figured they would bottom out at 15k. I guess we just have to wait and see what happens.

In 20 years, $10k in today’s world would be almost exactly $15000.
